People Who Contributed to These Projects

fredastaire3.jpg (7923 bytes)Steve Hale is a singer/songwriter currently living in San Diego. He spent many years playing with projects in Portland and Los Angeles, and has written many excellent tunes with captivating titles. I am hoping to someday complete an operetta entitled The Marlin, based on a tune Steve wrote about a pizza delivery experience.

Sam_s.jpg (7884 bytes)James Long is a scorching guitarist and a singer who also writes a lot of interesting tunes and sound collages. When I first met him, he could make a number of peculiar toilet sounds on the guitar utilizing the whammy bar. He has reasonably pronounced eyebrows.

wimpy.gif (122226 bytes)Joe Plass is a singer and kick-ass bass player that has played in more funk bands than you can shake a stick at. He is the only person I know who has played on a double-platinum album. He also claims to have lost his hair by eating too many burgers.

Rob Bonenfant is a saxophonist, flautist and chess player who can sail a boat and restore a ratty, broken-down Morris Minor to showroom condition (but not at the same time). He also runs marathons.
Beaker_s.jpg (6187 bytes)Peter Drake is a sound artist and pedant in Portland, Oregon who is an interesting addition to any social group. He was once chased about a railway platform in Germany by a liederhosen-clad woman wielding a whip. He is also a top-rated sprint cyclist.

Chris Hall is a guitarist and cynic whose verbal manner is very similar to my own, which makes us indistinguishable from one another on the phone.  It is unfortunate that his single contribution to this project was one peculiar guitar sound. For a long time, his favorite thing to say to me was "Not Much."

papaH.jpg (37008 bytes)Phil Tweedy is my former father-in-law, currently residing in Madera, California, and is the only participant on this project who has survived a grand mal seizure and open-heart surgery. He is currently writing a flock of country tunes.

20010603rogers.jpg (6983 bytes)Fred Rogers was a children's entertainer who had a TV show.

Rest in Peace.

Kelly Dunn is a terrific drummer who also has a useful set of ears when it comes to detecting things like phase coherency and frequency masking problems. I've heard that he is currently on tour with someone famous. If he would ever call me, I could tell you who.
