William Ware was born on March 29, 1750 in Gloucester
County, Virginia. He married Sarah Samuel, the
daughter of William Samuel. He served as a
Private during the Revolutionary War. (ref.
629) William came to Kentucky with other members
of the family and settled in Woodford County on a part of his fathers estate, but
after the death of his father he took charge of the old home and died there. (ref.874)
(1) Elizabeth Ware was known as Betsey. She was born on May 30, 1776, and
she married John Bacon on May 30, 1799. (ref.869) He had been married previously to Anne Patterson. John Bacon was the son of Lyddall and Ann
(Apperson) Bacon. There were eight children
born to Betsey and John: (1) Anne Apperson
Bacon (born March 28, 1800) who married Rev. Philip Slater Fall, (2) Sarah Ware Bacon, (3) William W. Bacon (born March 7, 1804) who
married Ann Noel, (4) Dr. James Ware Bacon
(born March 23, 1807) who married Alice Riggs, (5)
Richard Apperson Bacon (born July 2, 1809) who married Elizabeth Ellen Terrell, (6) John Mosby Bacon who married Sarah Jane
Haggin, (7) Elizabeth P. Bacon, (8) and Albert Gallatin Bacon. Elizabeth and John lived in Frankfort, Kentucky,
and Elizabeth died on July 30, 1849. (ref.

The daughter of Elizabeth and John Bacon named Anne Apperson Bacon (number 1) married
Reverend Philip Slater Fall. She and Rev. Fall
were the grandparents of Mrs. Jouett Taylor Cannon; the (at one time) secretary-treasurer
of the Kentucky Historical Society. (ref. 873) Reverend Fall was also the grandfather of U.S. Senator A.B. Fall of New
Mexico. (ref.873)
(2) James Ware was born on May 12, 1780.
(3) Samuel Ware was born
in 1781
and married twice. His first wife was Anne
Read and his second wife was Betsy (Bullock) Redd; the widow of Thomas M. Redd. Samuels first wife (Anne Read) was a daughter
of Hanson Read, a pioneer. Anne and Samuel
lived on a farm not far from Duckers Station, a part of his fathers estate. They had the following children: William Jr., James
Jr., Hankerson Ware, Agnes Ware, and Ann Read Ware. By
his second marriage to Betsy Bullock Redd, Samuel also had a daughter named Elizabeth
Ware. Samuel served in the Revolutionary War,
or at least he drew a pension for service rendered either by himself or his father. (ref.#

daughter Agnes married Major Thomas Bullock Jr., who resided on the farm now known as the
Walker Farm beyond Mortonsville, but later moved to Illinois. (ref.
874)
Samuels
youngest daughter by Anne Read, Ann Read Ware, married Capt. Elijah Fogg. His daughter Elizabeth Ware (by Betsy Bullock Redd)
married John Benjamine Utterback. (ref 874)
(4) Agnes Ware was born on May 17, 1783, and
she married first Philemon Rouzee and second, William Porter
(5) Rebecca Ware was born in 1785, and on January
1, 1812, she married Willis Blanton; the son of John Blanton and Nancy Roberson, who lived
near Grassy Springs church. They lived on a
farm owned by the widow of Lafayette Crutcher, on the Versailles and Frankfort Road, in
full view of the church. Rebecca Ware and
Willis Blanton were on a farm with his mother, Nancy, in 1812 and they inherited the
land at her death. (ref. 873)
They
had the following children: (1)

William Blanton who married first Elizabeth Anne Samuel and then also Miss Buck
both Woodford County girls. (ref.
873,874) (2) Horace Blanton who married first Martha Lamb
and then Eliza Thompson. (3) Elizabeth Blanton who married John Y. Mills. (4) Maria Louise Blanton married Nathaniel
Currier. (ref.873)
(6) Sarah Ware was born in 1788 and married William Porter Jr. Sarah & William had a son named Dudley Porter
Jr. who was a lawyer in Paris, Kentucky, and also a daughter named Elizabeth who married
D.C. Atkins who was a United States Senator.
